Steppe Themed Expansion

Description
"This mod is coming along nicely, I will finish it up soon and release it!" - Hei, August 17th, 2024

While going through my backlog of unreleased stuff I found this and decided to fix it up for release, this is an expansion of *general* ideas of the people of the Steppe, While it is mostly Mongol based, this mod focuses more on the feelings and vibes; So while I do try, I claim no historical accuracy. (Calling it Steppe instead of Mongol is a cop out so I can do what I want)
------
The balance might be a bit strong, the playthrough I made this mod for, I was moving maps every couple of days, so Airag might brew a bit too fast, Yurts may be strong for a "permanent" Base, ect. Ill tweak balance around but keep in mind the mod is designed around Nomadic play.
------
Currently it adds:
A yurt, which functions as a tent for sleeping outside, it can also house many people.
Airag, Alcohol fermented from milk, this is balanced around a nomad playstyle so it boosts healing rates, to help combat dirt and infections that are common without clean hospitals.
Khukhuur, the container which milk is added to brew Airag

A saber, two versions and a backstory specific one
A helmet, with 3 variations
A Lamellar undercoat

Backstories, a custom starting scenario that makes use of the backstories and culture, I.E mongol style names.

Currently that's it, I'd strongly recommend you use it in conjunction with other mods such as Tasty Armory - Steppe Warriors , as this is much lighter and less filled out then something like my Edo themed Expansion.

CE is NOT supported currently.

Permissions.
As with my work "Edo Themed Expansion." You are free to download this mod, edit, modify or adjust the work in any ways you please, I do not promise tech support if you download it and start pulling wires out and break the mod. If you make any edits or adjustments, please do not charge money for it and do properly credit me.

I am also open to feedback and changes but do be polite, I do this stuff for fun.

There. This update has some experimental changes to decouple VBE from the mod. From my basic testing it works fine and doesn't sacrifice anything, there might be issues discovered down the line so using VBE with it is more tested.

It's a bit of a tall order, would require a bit of restructuring for the mod to make it work. I'll consider it but im not promising I can.

I really like the look of this but the VBE requirement prevents me from using it :(
I don't suppose you'd be willing to make a version without that or make it optional?

Hehe, no worries. It happens. Thank you very much for your hard work. <3

As for the problem, very strange, I don't know where my head was. I wrote out all the changes but forgot to actually link the crafting recipes to the building, so it was all there and ready to go, just not attached to the building :steamfacepalm:

Should be fixed now. Steam can be slow to update so if its not downloading, unsub from the mod, wait a few minutes then redownload it, should force the update.

Awesome, thank you! No rush now that you know what the issue is.

Yeah I made some mistakes porting the systems over. Ill sort it as soon as I get the chance.

Should automatically load it. However, they axed the old alcohol system in VEF and had people instead use some new piping system. So let me check that the 1.6 port is playing as expected with that.
