NE-3000-WE | Electrified Mainline Locomotive

Description
Made for Alistair's LBC challenge.

Northeastern Railway Technologies NE-3000-WE

The NE-3000-WE is a high-speed, wire-electric mainline locomotive. Designed for use in both passenger and freight operation, the locomotive features a dual-cab design for easy direction switching, and four powerful AC traction motors, capable of propelling it up to 150 kilometers per hour.

Features Include:

Improved Driver Safety
A high-sitting cab provides a safe operating position for the driver in the case of a head-on collision, and provides great visibility. Along with this, each cab comes equipped with a fire extinguisher and three exits that can be utilized in an emergency.

Cab Comfort
Each cab is large and spacious, with a center-seated driver's position. Controls are simple and easy to understand, and are laid out ergonomically in front of the driver. The driver's seat can also be adjusted up and down based on driver preference. Each cab also comes equipped with interior lighting and climate control.

Power
The locomotive comes equipped with 4 AC traction motors, linked to 6 axles total. This is capable of propelling the locomotive to 150 kilometers per hour, and can pull the brick at 70 kilometers per hour. It is also equipped with a powerful ABS braking system, including an integrated dynamic brake.

Dual-Cab Layout
Thanks to the dual-cab layout, the locomotive can operate perfectly in any direction, removing the need for turntables or turnaround loops, saving both space and money.

TCP Standard Equipped
The NE-3000-WE is equipped with the SRC's TCP multiple-unit system, making it compatible with any other TCP equipped locomotive or rolling stock.

Ease of Maintenance
All logic can be easily accessed via a computer bay behind the A cab. Along with this, all major functional parts of the locomotive can be easily reached if repairs are needed.

Startup Procedure

Section One: Breaker Room Setup
1.1: Enter the breaker room. The access door can be found just forward of the B cab, on both sides of the hood.
1.2: Activate all breakers, and proceed to the desired cab.

Section Two: Cab Setup
2.1: Set Master (Found to the left of the digital display)
2.2: Lock Master (Optional)
2.3: Deploy pantograph
2.4: Setup lights

Optional Section: Speed Control
The throttle acts more like a cruise control system. The throttle ranges from 0 to 150 kilometers per hour. The set throttle speed can be seen on the digital display located in front of the driver's position, indicated by "DS (Desired Speed) ## KMH"
