Lore:
Cedra Yurei was born in Shin Haven, to a disciplined Japanese mother and an American immigrant father a man of strong principles, quiet intellect, and an unwavering love for his daughter. Her early years were marked by academic excellence, emotional balance, and deep familial bonds, especially with her father. He was her world, her structure, her code. That structure shattered when she was only 13 years old.

During a terrorist bombing in Shin Haven, Cedra's father was gunned down while shielding her from the gunfire. The killer, through the haze and ash, a lone street ronin approached, wearing an Oni mask, his body enhanced with crude cybernetics, katana drawn, pistol in hand. He had the slow, theatrical gait of those who believed in ritualistic violence. He raised his blade to end her life.

The killing blow never landed.

A Neo-Samurai of the OmenCorp descended in a blur of speed and technique. In two strikes, the ronin cybernetic arm was severed and then decapitated. The combat was flawless, clinical. No wasted motion. No hesitation. The neo-samurai stood for a moment in silence, then moved toward the girl. She resisted. She screamed. She reached toward her father body, trying to drag it. Begging not with words, but with action for the corpse to move, to rise. Her arms clawed at the ground, trying to pull the lifeless body, refusing to accept reality.

But the neo-samurai did not slow. He picked her up and dragged her to safety. She writhed violently in his grip, a child in shock, convulsing against inevitability. Her eyes never left the body.

It was the moment Cedra Yurei died as a child and was reborn as something else.

Her mother would later say she never cried again after that day. Her silence became unsettling. Her discipline became absolute. She locked herself in the room, studied combat, history, law, theology all with an intensity far beyond her age. She never disobeyed again. She never smiled the same way. She remembered the neo-samurai armor the OmenCorp emblem scorched into his pauldron, the blackened steel of his mask, the silence of his presence. From that day forward, she saw only one path.

As Cedra grew older, her grief festered into a deep hatred for anarchy and the forces of chaos that had robbed her father. The image of the neo-samurai stayed with her, and in it, she found purpose. She saw OmenCorp not as a cold corporation, but as a force of order one that embodied the ideals of the old schools samurais and the strength of a unified Japan.

At the age of 16, Cedra made a decision that would change her life forever. She enrolled in the OmenCorp Academy to join the Neo Samurai Order. The decision did not come without consequence. Her mother, already drowning in grief and alcohol, feared for Cedra future. She begged her daughter not to go, warning her about the dangers of OmenCorp and the rigid, dangerous world of their Academy trials. But Cedra resolve was unwavering.

She trained for years with one goal: to become part of OmenCorp, the institution that saved her. At 18, she taken the entrance exams. Passed in second place, nearly matching a prodigious male warrior from Kyoto.

According to standard protocol, she was allocated to the Tactical Infiltration Female Division (TIFD), where women were trained primarily for infiltration, assassination, stealth-based warfare, and low-visibility operations. She chose to become a Infiltrator Operative, but inside, her mind was focused elsewhere, she wanted to be a sword in the daylight. A Neo-Samurai, feared and known.

Her performance soon diverged from expectation, one day she respectfully suggested joining the Neo-Samurai Order. Her superiors, impressed by her exceptional combat skills and education, allowed her to take the brutal neo-samurai trials. But they needed one more aproval... from the Ancient Master Neo-Samurai.

Kazuo no Tatsurugi, called the Black Flame of Nagoya. A living legend. One hundred and one years old. His eyes still sharp as tungsten. His blade still clean. He had served under five CEOs, survived nuclear warfare, and executed traitors inside boardrooms with the same calm he used on the battlefield. He had seen thousands of candidates rise and fall. He reviewed Cedra footage in silence. Watched her dismantle opponents, one by one, with mechanical focus and raw hatred behind her eyes.

And then he spoke:

"We do not bend for her. We do not honor her. We break her. We push her into the abyss. We offer her death. If she survives, she is one of us."

His terms were clear: no favoritism, no leniency, no title. She would undergo the same path as the ancient sons of the blade. Worse, even.

He and a select group of Master-Tutors devised a trial regimen far beyond the standard. Harsh winters in cryo-training, brutal mountain ascensions with weighted armor, ten-on-one duels, starvation chambers, meditative isolation under sonic torture, full-contact executions against prisoner combatants. Each phase engineered to destroy her spirit, not her body.

At 21, she became the first and only woman to pass all Neo-Samurai trials both physical and spiritual.

Now, at 34, Cedra Yurei operates as an Elite Neo-Samurai, deployed only on missions where failure is not an option. She is no longer questioned. No longer tested. She is unleashed. Her name is spoken in respectful silence within OmenCorp war rooms. She is a surgical storm, a living doctrine of control, speed, and violence. Where Cedra is sent, loose ends are cut, and dishonor is buried in steel.

The Black Valley Infiltration was one of those missions a high-risk corporate operation deep inside an anomaly-ridden containment zone. Intelligence blackouts. AI corruption. Deadhusk phenomena. Everything indicated suicide. OmenCorp didn’t hesitate. They sent her.

But the operation spiraled into chaos. Communications collapsed. Evac teams were torn to pieces. Protocols failed. The valley closed like a jaw. Cedra, alongside a scattered few warriors and survivors, is now trapped in the Valley cut off from the outside world, surrounded by corrupted machines, necro-augmented abominations, and deranged AI-controlled husks.

Yet even in the abyss, Cedra remains composed. To her, this is not misfortune. It is an opportunity.

An opportunity to prove, again and again, that she is OmenCorp blade, forged in fire, shaped in pain, loyal to death. She will CUT through whatever HELL Black Valley holds!
