Silent Killer for all weapons

Description
Allows Silent Killer perk to work with all primary weapons, as opposite to only Vektor Rifles. Part of my More Unique Weapons mod

Other than that you'll need some Amalgamation specs to benefit from this
Ghost Recon Specialization(Primary)
Predator Specialization(Primary)

A. I see. I'm still just playing with the Stealth Overhaul and Combat Knives mods. I haven't looked at the mechanics of the first mod yet, but I thought that the mod would allow operatives to always remain stealthy if they kill. But combat knive has its own numbers for revealing. Thanks for answering!

The 2 Specialization mods are able to get Silent Killer perk and the first linked mod - More Unique Weapons mod is what allows everyone to use all weapons.

So there's really no point in installing this mod if you haven't actually see Silent Killer perk outside of Reapers(who are bound to vektor rifles only) in whatever class mods you're using.

These 2 that I linked are the only ones known to me that have it, but maybe's there more idk.

Unless you want to use my More Unique Weapons mod, which will allow Reapers to use any primary weapon, then this mod will useful.

In the base game file "XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini" there's line for Silent Killer perk:

[XComGame.X2Effect_SilentKiller]
AllowedWeaponCategories="vektor_rifle"

As you see, by default it will only work with vektor rifle. My mods simply adds all primary weapons to it:

+AllowedWeaponCategories=sniper_rifle
+AllowedWeaponCategories=shotgun
+AllowedWeaponCategories=smg
+AllowedWeaponCategories=bullpup
+AllowedWeaponCategories=cannon
+AllowedWeaponCategories=hunterrifle
+AllowedWeaponCategories=rifle
+AllowedWeaponCategories=boltcaster

No it doesn't automatically give this perk to all weapons, it simply allows the perk to work, if a soldier who has Silent Killer perk is carrying a different weapon than vektor rifle.

This however doesn't happen without mods. In the base game only Reaper has access to Silent Killer perk and Reapers can carry only vektor rifle, so this mod is not needed.

Can you give more details about how the mod works? Is the "Silent Assassin" perk added to any weapon that is in the config? If I add another weapon to the config, will it also work? And how exactly will the two mods in the description help? Are the mods required for them to work?
