-- Lore --
With major factory expansions after Operation Pioneer, the Stino Corporation needed to transport more materials over longer distances. As a temporary solution, they purchased trucks from HELIOS, LEAF, and Crash Ind., allowing production of the SO-X1 Pegasus to continue at near optimal speed. While things ran smoothly, it quickly became clear that further expansion would require more drivers, cutting heavily into profits. The solution: the Centipede Land Train. Built on the same platform as the old trucks, it drastically reduced the number of drivers needed by allowing multiple units to be linked together. Once the old trucks were phased out, the Stino Corporation began exporting the vehicles and developing specialized modules to support long distance transport operations.
