Description
The AS21 Redback is a modified South Korean K21 IFV designed specifically for the Australian Army. It features a 30mm autocannon, MAG 58 Remote Control Weapon System (RCWS or RCS) and the Iron Fist Active Protection System (APS). It weighs 42 tonnes and is due to enter service in 2027. South Korea and Australia are the only operators of the K21/ AS21, although others are considering the aquisition of K21s.
