Latus-class frigate

The Latus-class (meaning Broad Side in Latin) is a light Roman frigate designed for dedicated pirate hunting or forming a screen for a larger ship as part of a fleet. The frigate is heavily armed with 12 laser cannons split into three quad batteries across the front and sides of the craft. Main systems, particularly the rear and side thrusters, are well protected by armour, giving it longevity in a prolonged fight. Speed and mobility is provided by two large thrusters at the rear and several standard thrusters, giving it fair mobility across the system.
