British Rail Class 58

Description
Known to enthusiasts as bones or egg timers, 50 of the class were built to replace the Class 56. It used a modular design for easy assembly and maintenance. It was intended as an exportable loco, but there were no foreign orders placed. However, some locos were leased and sold second-hand to France, the Netherlands and Spain. In the UK they were mainly allocated to Toton depot and used for coal traffic. They were prone to slipping, so a revised bogie with sandboxes was fitted to the later locos. They were withdrawn between 1999 and 2002, hastened by the arrival of the Class 66. 5 are in preservation and another 5 are in Europe, but their future is uncertain.

40 locos are available from 1983 in a variety of British and European liveries.

Features:
- Reversible
- Dirt and rust
- Custom audio.
- Each loco is also available as a track asset.

Max speed: 128 km/h.
Power: 2462 kw (3300 hp).
Tractive effort: 267 kN.

Many thanks, as usual, to funclive for reviewing the model. Also, for having the idea of showing the engine number in the workshop thumbnails.

Disclaimer: I didn't manage to find all the cab text for the European locos so I guessed those using an online translator.
