AI Can Use Psycasts

Description
This mod lets enemies use psycasts.

What's the difference between this and Powerful Psycast AI?

This mod leans on the system vanilla uses to let enemies use abilities, instead of creating extra jobs, which should be more stable and performant. It is also compatible with every modded psycast, as long as the creator made them autocastable. Mods that only repurpose the game's code should be autocastable out of the box.

I also took care to make enemies somewhat smart in their use of psycasts (unlike Powerful Psycast AI, which has Skip coded as a random teleportation). With this mod, enemies will try to skip away from danger, or skip your colonists into their murderballs.

The mod settings let you, among other things, disable individual psycasts from being generated on enemy-controlled enemies, if you don't want to get cheesed by Berserk Pulse spam. Note all psycasts are disabled by default, so you need to enable some if you want this mod to do anything.


If anything doesn't work, or an enemy used a psycast in a very stupid way, let me know.

Not compatible with Combat Psycasts (yet).

This is obviously incompatible with Vanilla Psycasts Expanded, which uses its own system to make psycasts autocast.

I repurposed and updated some of the code from Powerful Psycast AI for pawn generation and mod settings, so you can consider this a fork of it, in a way.

Does anyone have experience using this compared to VE Psycasts? Dont want to use that because it ruins the vanilla gameplay around getting psycasts and simplifies it making it less interesting. But are the enemies using psycasts better with this mod or the other?

A raid that is "preparing for a while" has one of more of their casters repeatedly cast mass chaosskip, and they also seem to be randomly casting skip. Its not a real problem but it sure does look dumb:).
They also keep trying to use wallraise which gives the message "Wallraise needs to be used on empty area"

Bugreport: enemies used 'elemental shield' from More Psycast Powers on my colonist instead of their own

I am using CAI-5000 with this mod and psycasters are casting so there has to be some other conflicting mod. Only issue is what they casting on who. :D
PS.: There is misspell loyal vs local. ;)

I'm guessing not, then? Which is strange: I'm patching things in very gently, so as long as things like Impids and Sanguophages use their abilities with CAI-5000, psycasters should too.

Does this mod work with CAI-5000? ive been playing with it and despite seeing psycasters appear they never cast abilities.
