Turbo Hearts

A variation of the classic card game, Hearts, invented in the 1980s by Richard Garfield.

Jack of Diamonds is worth -10 points.

Ten of Clubs doubles the round's score of whoever captures it.

Shooting the moon, meaning collecting all hearts and the Queen of Spades, turns these cards from positive points to negative points.

After the pass, before the first lead, players may expose their Ace of Hearts, Queen of Spades, Jack of Diamonds, or Ten of Clubs, to double their effects.

If three of these cards are exposed, the player holding the other card must also expose it.

A shown Queen of Spades is worth 26 points.
A shown Jack of Diamonds is worth -20 points.
A shown Ten of Clubs quadruples the round's score of whoever captures it.
A shown Ace of Hearts makes all hearts this round worth 2 points.

A shown card may not be played the first time its suit is led, unless the player has no other cards of the suit.

Scoring cards, including the Ten of Clubs and Jack of Diamonds, may not be played on the first turn, unless the player has no other option.

The script enforces the pass, showing, and card play. Cards should be played to the highlighted areas only, face-down for passing. Only cards that can be played on any given turn can be picked up.
