StoveTop Heat [wip]

Description
STOVETOP HEAT [B42]

Tired of stovetops being just another static object in the apocalypse? StoveTop Heat ignites a new level of danger and realism in your kitchen! Experience the escalating consequences of leaving items unattended on a hot stove – from a gentle thaw to a raging inferno. Pay attention to what's cooking, or face the heat!

So boiling works now, still a Wip as always please don't enable it on an important save or anything. or at least if you plan on it back your stuff up first.

🔥Key Features

Dynamic Heating – Items on an active stove gradually warm up.
Realistic Cooking – Place food on a lit burner and watch it cook over time.
Boiling & Purification! – Tainted water placed on a lit stove gradually boils over time, with boil duration scaling to the amount of water. Once fully boiled, the water is purified, turning safe to drink. Perfect for those desperate moments when clean water is scarce.
Defrosting – Thaw frozen food by placing it on a running stove.
Burning Consequences – Forget your meal? It'll burn and eventually become a fire hazard.
Flammable Reactions – Burnt food, literature, clothing, and junk can ignite if left on a hot surface.
Auditory Feedback – Hear the immersive sounds of cooking and the crackle of impending fire.
Panic Inducing – Careless cooking can lead to unexpected fires and a spike in your panic.

⚙️ How It Works

Actively scans for active stoves and nearby items at set intervals.
Heat Increase: Items on a lit stove will gradually gain heat.
Defrosting Logic: Frozen food near a hot stove will have its freezing time reduced until thawed.
Cooking Progression: Cookable food on a hot stove will cycle through raw, cooked, and burnt stages.
Ignition Chance: Overheated burnt food and specific flammable items have a chance to ignite.
Fire Hazard: Ignition spawns a fire object on the stove's tile.
Sound Immersions: Cooking and burning sounds play dynamically.
Panic Response: Spawning fires will increase the player's panic level.
Item Removal: Items that ignite are removed and replaced by a fire object.

I'm not sure if this is your mod but I guess so.
When I put pasta stew on a stove and go around (like go outside), in other words if I go far enough from the stove it just won't cook. I can even set 300C and it won't cook anyway. For it to actually cook I have to stay near the stove. Not sure about other meals but it definitely happens when I cook pasta.

Why Indie Stone are so lazy they can't implement something as basic as this? Thank you, it's a great mod

for sure use at your own risk always, what were you cooking, what were you cooking with and what mods were you using besides this one?

@ [Shadenhand] This was one of my favorite mods but unfortunately there is a bug with it that can cause a stove to randomly catch fire for no reason. I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it myself.

I've been using it for about a month - both to cook and to burn down houses after looting. Well, I started a stew just like I've done literally dozens of times and it set my stove on fire and burned my entire base down (even using debug and spawning extinguishers couldn't stop it). Sad. Use at your own risk.

sounds like there was something ontop of it. if there's anything like clothes paper stuff like that it will burst into flames or could be that it had burned food on it too. either way sandbox settings to disable fires if it's not how you want to play. <3
