Description
-- SHOREBLAST --

-------------------------------------
In the middle of the ocean lies an abandoned island that appears to be no more than a vacation spot from a bygone era. On closer inspection though one may find that there is more to this place than meets the eye. Inside a dormant volcano base falling apart at the seams is one of the most experimental pieces of tech ever to exist. A generator with promises to produce enough power to keep the lights for the entire island on year round.

This kind of tech while unstable, is very valuable and was sold off in a bid to both Mann brothers who managed to bid the exact same amount. Cutting a deal they both pooled their money and purchased the property. Of course in traditional fashion though they won't accept having to share it as you would imagine. Rather you've been hired to participate in a last man standing fight to secure this volatile piece of tech through whatever means necessary, even if that means killing others, FOR GOOD!

Welcome to Arena Shoreblast
-------------------------------------

The map
-------------------------------------
Shoreblast is a tropical reskin of the map "Offblast" originally made for the Arena gamemode back in 2009. This version contains a multitude of changes including a bridge on the capture point that extends once it opens, and water surrounding the map letting players access the new beach area.

Feel free to explore this lush place and check out the gift shop located on the top of the hill. This island is home to a dormant volcano which is home to a secret research and development base. What was once bustling has now fallen into disrepair so you will need to weave around weeds and avoid getting tetanus on your quest to secure the experimental generator in the volcano's core.

Casual ready!
-------------------------------------
Shoreblast in a future version will use logic entities that differ from the base Arena logic to make it compatible with casual mode. No Vscript or plugins required. Look forward to that coming within the next week!

-------------------------------------
This map was made with love during a very hard year for me and came at just the right time when I needed it, I hope that everyone loves what I put together here and it brings you as much joy as it did for me making it!

Thanks,
-Seacat and the Shoreblast team

That could very much work if it were more open I think. I would probably take the roof (or most of it) off the gift shop building and create some back routes around the map to allow for more traversal and such. But that actually is an interesting idea and would probably work better than something like Koth as the layout doesn't have the proper walking distances and angles to play well with those gamemodes, but VSH.... yeah probably!

Personally I hate arena, but the map is beautiful. I love the abandoned areas and how well built this feels as a secret base on an island. There's a lot of attention to detail, I love it
