Description
The Highliner II are bilevel electric mulit-unit (EMUs) vehicles built by Nippon Sharyo in 2005 and a 2nd batch produced in 2012 for the Metra Electric District and NICTD's South Shore Line.

They are visual similar to the Galley Cars used on Metra's non-electrified lines. They operate in married pairs between 2 and 8 cars long.

Beside livery, the only difference between the NICTD and Metra models are an additional door on the NICTD variant to allow for low level platform usage on the South Shore line.

Liveries:
  • Metra
  • NICTD (South Shore Line)
