Remade Skills & Icons for the Arbalest

We’ve overhauled the Arbalest’s effects and icons.

Skills have been reworked into a D&D ranger style; balance may differ from the original game.

A spell‐slot mechanic has been introduced—unlike standard D&D, your number of slots increases with skill rank.

Sniper
Type: Ranged
Pattern: OOXX XOOO
Stats: 115 / 0 / 9
• Hunter’s Mark: +60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100% damage vs. marked targets
• Deadeye: Range does not reduce damage
• Armor Piercer: +10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30% armor penetration vs. marked targets

Conjure Barrage
Type: Spell
Pattern: OOXX XXO‑O
Stats: 105 / ‑100 / 0
• Arcane Spell (1 use)
• Deals 5d8 damage to all targets in an area
• If targets dodge, damage is halved
• Spellcasting Aptitude: +1d8 damage per rank

Hunter’s Mark
Type: Spell
Pattern: OOOX OOOO
Stats: 120 / ‑100 / 0
• Divination Spell
• Grants a free action (does not end turn)
• Marks one target for the entire battle; changing mark cancels previous marks
• Nemesis: Does not consume a spell slot

Ensnaring Strike
Type: Spell
Pattern: OOOX OOXX
Stats: 115 / ‑80 / 6
• Arcane Spell (2 / 2 / 3 / 3 / 4 uses)
• Each turn, marked targets take 1d6 damage (auto‑damage, 10 stacks)
• Spellcasting Aptitude: +1d6 damage per rank

Firing in Melee
Type: Melee
Pattern: XXXO O‑OXX
Stats: 115 / ‑50 / 11
• Ignores attack disadvantage (you gain +d20 Speed for 3 turns)
• You are knocked back 2 spaces

Cure Wounds
Type: Ally Support
Pattern: OOOO OOOO
• Protective Spell (2 / 2 / 3 / 3 / 4 uses)
• Heals target for 2d8 HP
• Spellcasting Aptitude: +1 HP healing per rank

Daylight
Type: Spell
Pattern: OOOO O‑O‑O‑O
Stats: 120 / ‑100 / 0
• Transmutation Spell
• Ignores stealth and reveals hidden enemies
• +20 light level; current battle light level can no longer drop
• Removes stun & mark from allies, and reduces their stress by 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5

Three New Supplies

Health Potion
• Cures Bleed, restores 10% HP

Energy Rune Stone
• Fully restores the Arbalest’s spell slots

Damage Rune Stone
• In combat, deals 3 damage to an enemy
