Description
The Mulsanne-class light frigate is a designation of frigate utilized by the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) Navy, bearing the hull classification symbol FFG. Commissioned in 2553 and constructed by SinoViet Heavy Machinery, the class was developed as a next-generation platform intended to refine and integrate advanced weapon systems for post-war deployment.

Although visually reminiscent of earlier wartime frigates such as the Paris and Stalwart classes, the Mulsanne-class diverged significantly in its intended role. It served as a testbed for the Brightlance Reflex Laser, a directed energy weapon designed to replace the standard light Magnetic Accelerator Cannon (MAC) typically mounted on UNSC frigates. This shift marked a broader strategic emphasis on precision engagement capabilities over conventional kinetic firepower.

Among the class’s most notable vessels are the UNSC Panama, which participated in numerous post-war engagements, and the UNSC Mortal Reverie, renowned for its involvement in the events surrounding Installation 07. Following the Mortal Reverie’s destruction, its remains were repurposed as a refuge for survivors from the UNSC Infinity, cementing its legacy in the annals of post-war naval operations.

This class was one of my first ships made and wasn't looking the best. I originally used the other Mulsanne you can find that is much larger and essentially scaled it down. However, that looked bad, so I decided to rework it when I started making all of the UNSC and Covenant ships. Alongside this, I also made a custom paint job which was mostly inspired by the Stalwart-class made by Malcontent for Sins of the Prophets 2. I would suggest using this thing in very niche scenarios, as they are "weak" (the picture with the dreadnought was after like eight salvos), and to use the ion beam to your advantage.

All that being said, I hope you enjoy this little sniper of a ship, and more will be on the way soon.
