Japanese Government Railways Hoiro5170(5170~5172) , Hoiro5180(5180~5191)

Around 1897, bogie coaches with open decks at both ends and aisles for moving to neighboring coaches began to appear on the Japanese Government Railways. Since there are so many types of these coaches with open decks built around 1897~1907, I plan to publish several types of coaches at once in several mods. This mod is the fourth one. Two types (Hoiro5170 and Hoiro5180) from the Type 5170 and Type 5180 carriages and some of their converted carriages will be treated. (In addition, I will add some types of coaches after modification in the future, but I have not yet decided on a specific date.)

The below is a brief description of the Hoiro5170 and the Hoiro5180.
○Hoiro5170 (5170~5172) Type5170
First and second class combined bogie carriages manufactured at the Shimbashi factory. The interior has long seats, and the sides of the car body are similar to those of the Hoha6510 and Hoiro5150. In the middle of the Taisho era (1912-1926), they were converted to other types of second-class carriages and hospital carriages, and this group of carriages disappeared.
○Hoiro5180(5180~5191) Type5180
First and second class combined bogie carriages manufactured at the Shimbashi factory. The second-class interior has a combination of long seats and booth seats, while the first-class interior has long seats. Four of the carriages in this group were heavier than the others. In the middle of the Taisho period, the carriages were converted or downgraded to other types of second-class cars, baggage carriages, etc., and this group of carriages disappeared.

This mod will add a total of 9 passenger car variations, 3 variations of the Hoiro5170 and 6 variations of the Hoiro5180, with differences in paint and signage depending on the era. Below is a list of the Hoiro5170 and Hoiro5180 variations. Nibo22, Nibo28, and Nibo31 are not type names, but numbers of cars to be added with this mod. Variations from the Late Meiji to Early Taisho era appear up to the year of the first modification in order to be combined with other mods.
