Legendary Legacy

Description
LEGENDS ARE CURRENTLY (AS OF PATCH 1.16.2) BUGGED AND CANNOT BE STARTED BY THE AI, THIS IS NOT THE MOD'S FAULT

This mod seeks to make the underwhelming and generally unliked legends from the Legends of the Dead DLC more rewarding. This is done by to some degree mimicking bloodlines from CK2. When starting one of the unique, historical legends, the initiator's dynasty will receive a permanent dynasty modifier.

There are 35 of these unique vanilla legends in the game. Due to how legends are programmed and for balance, I did not want to add rewards to the common generated ones. A lot of these unique legends are by default restricted to certain dynasties or very specific requirements, for which I loosened the requirements for the ones that do not literally reference a confirmed ancestor (like 'Sons of Lothbrok'), so they are accessible to more and custom characters. Just based on what legends Paradox decided to add you can stack some of these very easy, very fast; there are like three legends exclusive to Alfred of Wessex, for example and yes stacking these will make you very OP.

I generally tried to follow a scheme of "the more characters potentially have access to it and the more outrageous the claim, the higher the requirements". The modifer granted by the legend is unique for every legend (I'm just a Wikipedia historian I tried to make them make sense), although a lot of the legends are about people defending their homeland against heathens, so the Faith Hostility Combat Advantage appears multiple times, for example.

Due to how the legends UI works I cant make it show a preview of what the modifier reward is in game so here's a complete list of requirements and rewards for all 35 legends:

I just spent two hours starting to format all the requirements and the rewards only to realize this isnt even close to fitting in the max. character length for Steam descriptions and am in pain.

Basically, all of them grant +1 monthly Legitimacy and some other boni like +5 Faith hostility Advantage, +10 same culture opinion or whatever. I spent five minutes on Google and picked something I thought appropriate, don't judge me, I'm open for suggestions.

A list of all unique legends and their requirements is here [ck3.paradoxwikis.com]. Most legends have looser requirements for showing up in the seed list in game but tighter requirements for actually starting so you have an idea of what youre aiming for.

Does this work for AGOT?

@Teamson I already nerfed some of them and keep in mind that A) the AI would be able to do these too if legends as a whole weren't bugged right now and B) unless you are very specifically setting up a campaign around these you wouldn't usually get more than one or two of these modifiers!

nice idea but a bit overpowered, isnt it?

I think they should be far less stronger or we will get too much powercreep, something that is already a problem in game

they should make this part of the base game

Is there a chance we get a version for generic legends in future? This is exactly the solution that I thought was necessary to make the legends more interesting. Thanks! Your work is really great.

I'm so glad we can earn achievements with mods in this game

Amazing idea. Going to test in my game

THIS is what the legend mechanic lacked, a way of giving the historical legends flavour.
