Consty's Wing Mod Rebalance - Turbonerd Edition

Description
Addon script for CAP, Thin Wings, and Plane Parts

Description

This mod was designed to bring all the major wing mod packs in line with each other, to bring integrity in line, and lower lift they provide across the board. The rebalance is intended as a way to make building and flying aircraft more involved.

It is recommended to have a speed mod enabled (at least 250ms) as the speed at which aircraft takeoff is generally increased. (recommended: relative top speed mod, modified)

Major Changes

- Lift effect now starts at 10m/s (down from 50m/s)
- Lift forces effectively halved across the board (Thin wings roughly reduced by 80%, Plane Parts roughly reduced by 90%)
- normalizes lift forces across all wing mods (not including digi wings original)
- Wing block integrity brought in-line with CAP wings (scaling integrity, with Thin wings being the flimsiest, to PP wings being the toughest)

NOTES
- does nothing without CAP, Thin Wings, or Plane Parts
- Special thanks to DarkXeRoX for providing the overrides

Thanks for letting me know. Funnily enough, the planes I was initially testing were actually your "Messerschmitt Bf 109" and "P-38 Invasion Stripes" planes. Really cool designs by the way!

Just gave the three planes you mentioned a go. Really cool and fly fast, not so difficult to control as compared to those ww2 style slower planes.

Would you possibly consider making a version of this rebalancer that is not so harsh on slower/low power planes then? Those ww2 planes seem to fly a bit better at higher speeds, but they try to yank up really hard generally, especially during takeoff and start-speeds

This rebalance makes it necessary to build more strictly compared to standard aircraft, making most older builds nigh unusable.

Lightweight craft are more than capable with this mod. i've got a 6.3t jet fighter that flies nicely with this.

check out some of my aircraft on my WS, namely the English Electric Lightning, TAF-X-17 Light Fighter Prototype, and Swallowtail II Light Attacker, they should fly fairly well with this mod

I really like the idea that your mod is meant to balance the 3 wing mods to be more in line with each other with block integrity and normalised lift, but is there any way to make it less punishing on really small, lightweight small grid planes? I tried it out with a couple of WW2-style planes from the workshop using the Plane Parts mod, and they fly beautifully without the rebalancer, but with it they’re practically impossible to fly.

I'd absolutely love to add your mod for the block integrity balancing across the wing mods, but I worry the lift changes might be really punishing when trying to build smaller lightweight planes in a survival playthrough.

This shouldn't affect NPC's right? Unless said npcs have wings and such?

Does this work with subgrids and everything? Can I build a proper helicopter with enough rotors and hinges?
