-----------------------

- About the map -

? - Velluna sul Seralba is an Italian inspired map based on a real life location of La Spezia and Santo Stefano di Magra in Liguria. The road layout is mostly custom made, and doesnt resemble the actual one, but other than that i tried to make it feel and look like as true to life as possible. This map technically took me 4 years to complete since i had to redo the whole thing a total of 6 times :skull:, but alas, it is done and im finally proud of it.

I'm open for some criticism and opions!

--------------------

- WARNINGS -

! - I realise that the size of some mods in the collection may discourage some from trying this map, and if there are enough comments, i will change some roads for others (mainly SWUR and UNUR).

! - Some intersections and roads dont have markings (SWUR and UNUR roads). These were previously marked but after the recent update, the IMT mod broke, and the game started giving out constant errors. This is a warning if you are going to be using IMT.

! - This map has a LOT of trees, i recommend setting the tree cap to at least 800k.

! - This map requires you to play with 81 tiles unlocked (unless you want to suffer) and preferably with edge fog disabled.

- PERFORMANCE -

20-30 fps with:

24GB RAM
i7-2600 on 2 cores
GTX1050Ti
some SSD

(very low spec)

--------------------------------------

- What does this map offer? -

- A wide variation of terrains: Ligurian Coasts, Never ending fields, River Valleys, Moutains towering over the plains
- Wide and open areas for building cities and small villages
- Stunning views
- Roads winding across the crazy terrain
- Two major highways
- The potential for some of the greatest cities you have ever built
- Access to all means of transport

Happy building!

I'm leaving a 3rd comment because when I made my first ones I didn't even realize that this required us to download over 100 roads just to have this map for you to use like 12 of them. Yeah..... I replaced every single one and uninstalled both of the road add ons

I’d also add that your two custom roads absolutely blew up my missing assets list. I had under 50 previously, now I have over 100 and they are all “prohibition signs” and other dumb stuff. Just… don’t with these custom roads. Especially the very heavily customized ones.

This map looks good (I have a very optimized setup for this game in terms of my PC) but in terms of “should you use those roads” etc. the answer is easily no.

Those custom assets aren’t adding value to the map. If they were just vanilla roads it really wouldn’t make much of a difference at all. The fact that IMT broke your progress on marking all of these is an even better reason to just delete all IMT markings and use regular roads.

I can only speak to myself but I do also get general impressions of the community- people don’t care about pre marked IMT highways etc. if anything it takes away player agency- we want to make it our own later on.
