Call of Duty Civs - The Atlas Corporation

Description
"What you're seeing is advanced warfare."

=====!!!!! IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTICE !!!!!=====
This mod requires the Brave New World expansion pack to work, and WILL NOT function properly without it. However, as with every other mod I have created, I have chosen not to modify the dependency setting to require Brave New World, so those that do not have it can use the mod as they please. However, the mod is almost guaranteed to be a horribly broken - but playable - mess without the second expansion pack, so if you do not have the Brave New World expansion pack, proceed into a game with this mod at your own risk.

With that said, I am proud to present the project that I've been working on for months now, the project that is finally finished at last - the Atlas Corporation, from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, is now in Civilization V as a playable Civilization.

=====Features=====
- A fully fleshed out Civilization, with a playstyle combining scientific and militaristic gameplay
- Two powerful unique Units that ensure Atlas military superiority in the Information Era
- Over 350 lines of custom dialogue, covering almost 200 different diplomatic situations
- Custom unit textures and graphics, finally no more default graphics for unique units!
- Custom unit sounds for when they're selected
- Custom music

=====Description=====
The Atlas Corporation has a very unique playstyle compared to other Civilizations designed to create a connection between scientific and militaristic play styles, with one offering bonuses to the other to ensure Atlas superiority in both its research and its armed forces. Bonuses to Science gained from focusing on military training provides the Atlas Corporation with an edge in achieving Science Victories over their opponents, while the reverse bonus of military Experience offered while focusing on improving Science yield in Cities means that the Atlas Corporation can always stay ahead of the pack in terms of the technological game. From winning Science Victories outright to fielding the most advanced military force in the world in order to crush its enemies, the Atlas Corporation's ability to develop both its military and its research and development at the same time without compromising either of the two makes them an incredibly powerful Civilization, with a clear and formidable advantage for achieving either Domination or Science Victories.

=====Unique Ability - Advanced Warfare=====
Every Barracks, Armory, and Military Academy built by the Atlas Corporation generates a bonus yield of +2 Science, while every Library, University, Public School, and Research Lab offers an additional +15 Experience each to freshly trained military Units.

=====Unique Unit 1 - T-740 Hovertank=====
A powerful alternative to the Giant Death Robot, the T-740 Hovertank suffers from a reduced Combat Strength compared to its vanilla counterpart but more than makes up for this with a set of abilities that enhance its maneuverability and versatility on the battlefield. While it may cost two Aluminum resources to build, its main strength comes from its ability to hover over rough terrain - traversing even the most treacherous of battlefields at no cost to its Movement. In addition, it also receives the unique EMP Cannon promotion, which provides a +25% bonus against Helicopter units that allows the T-740 to defend itself against unexpected attacks from enemy helicopters. While its base Movement may be relatively slow - with three points, compared to the Giant Death Robot's five - the T-740 Hovertank's adaptability in combat makes it a very valuable and very formidable weapon in the arsenal of the Atlas Corporation.

=====Unique Unit 2 - Warbird=====
While the Warbird may lack the anti-armor promotion of the Helicopter Gunship it replaces, it is much more versatile on the battlefield thanks to a greatly increased base Combat Strength of 80 - allowing it to perform much more effectively in battle against enemy forces in a wider array of combat situations. Well-suited to virtually any kind of role - from reconnaissance, to mobile tactics, to harassment of enemy lines, the Warbird is one of the most powerful units in the Atlas arsenal - and it even abandons the Strategic Resource requirement of its vanilla counterpart, making mass production virtually effortless.

=====Available addons=====
Atlas Infantry Pack - this addon for the Atlas Corporation adds three new infantry Units to their arsenal, based on Atlas troops encountered during the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare singleplayer campaign.

So I started a regular game with music turned on and yeah. You're right, music loops between a few different tracks in vanilla. My mods have always only had the one war/peace them and that's it, with silence coming afterwards. I'll look into changing that.

Confession: I play with music turned off (or used to, before I started modding and adding my own) so I'm not 100% on how it actually works normally. xD

Thank You!

Oh, hold on. I think I misunderstood. So the Atlas loading/peace/war themes DO work, but you're asking about the fact that once those songs end, there's no other music afterwards?

If so, then that's normal. That's how all my mods are set up. But I could definitely look into alternate ways to do it, so there aren't patches of silence - maybe make the music loop, or see how vanilla Civs do it. I'll have a look at that later today.

It still works when playing as someone else.

The normal music (the ones that play after the peace or war themes) doesn't play when playing as Atlas Corp.

Checks out. Do all the .mp3 files run properly if you were to open them? Does the music still not work if ONLY ATLAS is enabled and nothing else?
MrLZRS 7 Jun @ 3:45am
Sorry for the late reply, but I have checked the files in the Audio folder. There are five .mp3 files and one XML Document named "AtlasAudioScripts".

Well that's weird. Does the music work if ONLY ATLAS is enabled with NO other mods at all?

If so, then we have a deeper issue on our hands. At that point I'd start looking in the game's log files or even the mod files themselves to check that everything's in order. I'd start there. If you navigate to Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS/Call of Duty Civs - The Atlas Corporation (v1)/Audio, you'll find the .mp3 files for the music and the XML script that activates them. You could check all those to make sure it's all working.

Just Atlas music is silent, other Civs' are fine.
