Description

How it works?
  • The plane can be controlled using the WSAD keys, just like most other planes.
  • The plane is designed to be as stable as possible so if you are facing any troubles, relift the project!
    Keybinds:
    • LMB - shot; RMB - drop torpedoes;
    • 1 - gear up;
    • 2 - gear down;
    • 3,4 - Yaw axis (vertical stabilizer);
    • 5 - air brakes;
    • 6 - wheels;
    • 7 - wings;
    • 8 - wheel steering (or brake);
  • To load new bomb:
    Weld one onto spot under wing and connect logic gate between wheels to logic gate in bomb (logic gate under decoupler);
  • Dive bombing tutorial:

  • Works on physics simple 1.
  • Note: The carrier is not included here, search on my profile!

Roleplay description:
The CCAF Meteor was created as a revival of dive bomber designs. The last aircraft of this type was developed some time ago, and the leadership has now decided to return to this offensive concept. DB3-type dive bombers are essentially what you’d get if FA2 and TB4 projects had a child. They represent a compromise between performance and design, even though these aircraft are not officially considered part of the same family. The primary carrier for this class of aircraft is the AC8 project carrier of the OCvC Chimera class.

Specification:
  • CCAF Meteor can carry two MAO-17-AP5 bombs.
  • The main guns are two 20mm cannons mounted on the both wings. It primarily serves a self-defense role.
  • The plane is moderately maneuverable and fast, with a maximum speed of 206 knots.

Name origin:
The name Meteor was chosen due to the visual resemblance of the falling aircraft — often trailing smoke because of the game's imperfect physics — to a space rock entering the atmosphere.

(In lore, the thin trail often seen behind the plane is caused by air condensation forming around its dive brakes)
