Toei 320 Series / 東京都交通局320形

The 320 Series (320形) is an AGT vehicle operated by Toei on the Nippori-Toneri Liner.

Introduced in 2017, the 320 series was designed to tackle increasing congestion on the Nippori-Toneri Liner. While a stainless steel outer body was retained, an aluminium inner frame was adopted to reduce weight. These improvements allowed the interior to be switched to full long seating, thus increasing the capacity compared to the previous 300 series. For the exterior, a slanted front was adopted to give a dynamic appearance, while the turquoise stripes on each side represents the Arakawa and Sumida Rivers which the line crosses over. A pre-production car was produced in 2017, and entered service as Niigata Transys' bid for next generation rolling stock on the Nippori-Toneri Liner. However, Toei eventually chose Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' 330 series to replace the 300 series, therefore no additional 320 series have been built since. As the 320 and 330 series share much of the same equipment and technical specifications, there is no need to homogenize the fleet, and the single 320 series set is expected to remain in service.
