Onus IV-class freighter

The Onus IV-class (meaning Cargo in Latin) is the fourth version of the reliable Onus-class of freighter produced by the Roman Empire. Like the previous iterations of the class, speed is the key standout feature of the Onus IV, breaking the 100 m/s speed barrier thanks to its two huge thrusters. Additional storage space has been allocated due to the increased size, whilst the general shape has been retained. It can easily outrun pirate or rebel craft, which means additional expenses on defensive measures like point defence systems are not needed. The hyperdrives have been retained and are just as efficient as the previous model.

The Onus IV-class can do everything the previous model can do but better. With more storage space, additional speed, and no increase in crew requirements for just 40,000 more cost, the ship is perfect for high speed, low to medium size cargo transports. The lack of weapons is still characteristic of the class, but the even greater speed means their omission isn't felt.
