Onus V-class freighter

The Onus V-class (meaning Cargo in Latin) becomes the latest in the Onus line of high speed, medium capacity Roman freighters. Building on the previous model, an improved main thruster setup has been implemented for increased speed, while a greater crew capacity keeps it running smoothly. The thusters require a lot of power which is why internal systems have been moved around, with the reactor and expanded crew bunk placed close to the engines. A lack of defences is made up for by the extreme speed, which is determined to be all the defence the ship needs.

The Onus V-class is somewhat experimental with its modular main thrusters, but even so it is faster than the previous class, has a higher carry capacity, and can take on more crew for faster turn around times at space stations. The speed is great enough to escape hostile forces and the hyperdrives make transport even faster.
