Celeri-class cargo hauler

The Celeri-class (meaning Fast in Latin) cargo hauler is a rapid mining ship and light cargo carrier designed by the Roman Empire. Featuring two huge thrusters mounted at the sides of the ship, the craft is extremely fast and can zip from asteroid to asteroid rapidly. A central mining laser allows it to break down hard materials and extract the goods, while the cargo capacity allows it to operate for a decent time before returning to a station or factory ship to exchange goods. Whilst unarmed and unarmoured, the ship is fast to escape danger and manoeuvrable to get around dense asteroid fields.

Though not as high capacity as some of the contemporary craft available in the galaxy, or even other Roman designs, the Celeri-class is fast and mobile with an excellent carry capacity for the speed. The mining laser allows it to go to practically any asteroid field or ship graveyard to salvage and mine any resources.
