Description
(Space Engineers but good)

This mod makes a few minor tweaks and changes to block, item and weapon stats. This mod also includes a simple script that disables idle turret movement on world load or when blueprints/blocks are placed. Unfortunately, this cannot be disabled, and if you prefer idle turret movement, please consider either (1) not using this mod, or (2) seeking therapy.

List of Changes

Assault Cannon Turret, Assault Cannon
  • Reload Time: 6000 -> 4000
By making the Assault Cannon reload faster, it should make it more of a volume-of-fire weapon, because there isn't enough incentive to use them over the Artillery Turret, aside from the ammo being less expensive.

Gatling Gun Turret
  • Rate of Fire: 700 -> 1200
  • Shots in Burst: 140 -> 160
  • Grid Damage: 90 -> 60
  • Character Damage: 33 -> 20
By increasing the fire rate of the Gatling Turrets by an effective 50%, and decreasing their damage by about 33.3%, it should improve its ability to deal with agile targets by putting more rounds down range without increasing its DPS, which is already adequate. Aside from the interior turret, the Gatling Turret is the best option for dealing with player characters, which it sometimes has trouble doing.

Small Gatling Gun
  • Grid Damage: 90 -> 60
  • Character Damage: 33 -> 20
Small Grid Gatling Guns get the damage nerf as well, but do not get a fire rate buff because Gatling Guns for Small Grids are already oppressive enough when you spam them.

Large Grid Railgun
  • Maximum Projectile Distance: 2000m -> 3000m
Large Grid Railguns can now fire projectiles farther, allowing for sniping beyond AI turret engagement ranges. Note that AI engagement range has not been changed, because the vanilla AI engagement ranges are fine when you're using the vanilla locking system.

Small Grid Railgun
  • Maximum Projectile Distance: 1400m -> 2000m
Small Grid Railguns, like Large Grid Railguns, also get a max projectile distance buff.

Missile Turret, Missile Launcher
  • Explosion Damage: 500 -> 1200
Missiles have had their damage increased by 140% (2.4x) to make them actually viable in combat, as their biggest problem is just not doing enough damage.

200mm Missile Container
  • Production Cost (Old): 55 Fe, 7 Ni, 0.2 Si, 1.2 Mg, 0.1 U, 0.04 Pt
  • Production Cost (New): 15 Fe, 7 Ni, 2 Si, 0.2 Co, 6 Mg
It is unacceptable that in vanilla missiles costs uranium and platinum, which bars it completely from being an early game option when missiles are not even that good compared to assault guns.
