The mod adds an instant kill mechanic for zombies when dealing headshot damage, just like in The Walking Dead.
It works simply: when hitting a zombie in the head with any weapon, you have a chance to deal lethal damage instantly. This chance depends on the weapon's damage and is maximized when finishing off a downed zombie.

Since the mod partially makes fighting zombies easier and is meant to recreate the TWD atmosphere, it's recommended to adjust some of your game settings:
  • Population: >1.2
  • Multi-hit: disabled
  • Zombie toughness: normal/tough
With these settings, fighting large hordes will become harder, while smaller encounters will be easier, making the combat feel more like The Walking Dead.

Мод добавляет механику мгновенного убийства зомби при нанесении урона мозгу, как в The Walking Dead.
Работает всё просто: при ударе зомби в голову любым оружием вы получаете шанс нанести ему смертельный урон мгновенно. Этот шанс зависит от урона конкретного оружия, а также максимален при добивании лежачего зомби.

Так как мод частично облегчает битву с зомби, а также призван создать атмосферу TWD, рекомендуется изменить некоторые параметры вашей игры:
  • Популяция: >1.2
  • Мультиудар: отключено
  • Прочность зомби: нормальные/крепкие
С подобными настройками, битвы с большими толпами станут сложнее, а с маленькими проще, что приближает битвы по вайбу к The Walking Dead/

This mod causes a frequent error in GetX and IsoPlayer, because it modifies the animation/hit system, conflicting with the game's sound logic/FMOD. If anyone knows a fix, I couldn't find it. @seronis u can fix this ?

basically the code was healing the zombie on every hit that wasnt a head/neck shot, and any hit that wasnt insta kill it would reset health to half instead of doing half damage

to fix the bugs that heal the zombies change both of the lines that sets health to 0.5 to

zombie:setHealth(zombie:getHealth()*0.5)

and completely comment out/delete the line that sets health to 1.0

The zombie gaining health after I hit them is still active just to let you know, not every time but enough to make clearing hordes more difficult

Consider keeping the current big and finding a way to implement it (no clue how hard that would be I don’t mod the game) as a sandbox option setting (maybe a value 0-100 for how much HP gained on non-headshot hit).

I know myself and others would literally die for a mod that makes zombies headshot only and you just had it fall into your lap if this bug can be (reliably!) turned into a feature!

Other than that great mod, I’m on my hands and knees begging you not to consider the random HP gain a bug, keep up the good work
