Description
Welcome to my Aliens vs Predator SNPCs, one of several mods I've been developing for 3 years now!

For the best performance, please use x64 bit branch of Garry's Mod!


This is a very large Aliens vs Predator mod comprising of all the original NPCs/Weapons from AVP3, as well as some custom/additional NPCs based on other AVP games. Each NPC has unique AI that makes them stand out from normal VJ Base mods, including stealth tactics and light detection. Xenomorphs and Predators can perform fatalities on most NPCs in the mod. Xenomorphs exhibit their full life cycle, from ovamorph all the way to Queen caste. Each NPC can be fully controlled by the player with unique HUD elements, viewmodels and controls.

Known Bugs/Issues
  • While alerted, the human NPC's alert animation only plays on the first frame. This is due to the way VJ Base handles alerted idle animations for armed humans
  • Spawn placements in survival mode can sometimes put NPCs in bad areas. There are some built in checks to get around this most of the time, but on occasion they will be stuck there
  • Some fatality animations have weird placement between the two NPCs. Until I can figure out a proper detection algorithm for it, they will be smooching until death
  • Combat Android Elites have messed up camo. This is a bug with Source engine itself, where matproxies don't operate correctly on entities with children parented to them
  • Predator's viewmodel arms aren't effected by the thermal vision


To Do
  • Overall improvements/cleanup
  • Re-implement Predator stealth mechanics (currently they use a dumbed down version. During VJ Base Revamp, it changed stuff that the Predator relied on for proper stealth coordination AI. So until I can find an optimized work-around, it is disabled)

Hello, i was wondering if you could make so that the xeno eggs could hatch on their own some times? This would help them spread to more area on the map. if you say no then i get it. thank you for this amazing mod. keep up the good work!

Cpt. Hazama, you've probably already done this or not. I'd recommend moving your AvP mod folder out of your Gmod addons folder temporarily, and conduct some further tests being subbed to only the addon itself from the workshop. It could help find some discrepancies that you can witness yourself.

Now, let's use some logic here. If you're spawning NPCs across the map, how is the system supposed to spawn xenomorphs when there's so many close proximity enemies? Let alone their line of sight would prevent any spawning

In survival mode, when I place soldiers (human NPCs) in very far away places from each other, aliens do not spawn. Is there a solution please?

well there is a Beserker predator in the mod folder that isnt an NPC, i was thinking other aliens or predators from other games

Adding what exactly? Everything that can be added is in the mod, it's just minor updates/fixes for the rest of eternity
