Making a replica of a PBY Catalina in Stormworks proved to be really hard, that's probably why so few of them were posted and all of them had to trade something off for ablility to float. I menaged to make this one using wheel glitches and open top boyuancy feature with door frames to keep the interior free of sea water. Nothings perfect of course, I also had to abandon some of the features and stretch the shape here and there but I think that's as close as anyone can get (would still like to see someone prove me wrong). I'm mostly land vehicles creator so the handling of the plane and some systems can be lacking compared to latest workshop norms. Also if you find the logic really messy, please know that through the process of making it i had to constantly add, replace or remove systems so I finally decided to make controllers as separate as possible to ease the tuning and configuration process.

Please let me know of any shortcomings (the morse code thingy still in works btw. I'm trying to get it to work)
I want this creation to be as user friendly and versitile as possible.

  • Anonymus - Morse Code Decoder
  • Eggnog - Submarine Chaser in Video
  • paulewale - xml, photoshoot help and radio
  • Jaidy!! - I took a lot of inspiration (and stuff) from his latest Bomber
  • Uran_Wind - Microcontrollers

If I used your stuff and didn't credit you, let me know. I don't want to be "that guy"

oh well then nevermind, maybe for your next project you could do a UBOAT, i've been trying to find a good one for a while and there have been a few problems with all of them. the cooning tower is too small, you cant put more torps in the sub, and either the controls are easy to understand and use but the subs not very realistic or you have no clue whats going on but its supper realistic. i think you'll be great at this since how good this catalina was
