Railfreight Class 20

This is the British Rail class 20 light locomotive, also known as the English Electric Type 1, painted in Railfreight Grey with headcode Discs. 228 locomotives in the class were built by English Electric between 1957 and 1968. Designed to work light mixed freight traffic, they have no train heating facilities. This, being designed for freight, short runs and shunting, has been geared to run at a maximum of 60 Mph.
