With a somewhat longer expected lifespan than within the tumultuous clans of his peers, the Snapjaw Socialite turns to machines - and their scholars - for the answers of the world. The warm amber glow of cathode bulbs in his humble study carry the strained mind far from the screaming and feeding it knew from birth. Far from the day-to-day desperation. From blood and viscera caking the fur around the lips, to a blueprint pen held eruditely between them. And an endearingly-gnawed one, at that.

The great question still evades, still shuts the door behind him and sends him back out into the ravenous world: What spared him from that same fate?
