The FAMAS F1 is a French bullpup assault rifle known for its futuristic design, distinctive sound, and high rate of fire. Chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO, the F1 served as the standard-issue rifle of the French military for decades. Nicknamed “Le Clairon” (The Bugle) due to its shape, the FAMAS combines compactness with battlefield efficiency. Its bullpup configuration allows for a full-length barrel in a shorter overall weapon — ideal for urban and close-quarters combat.
