Description
A mod to (mostly) remove cave races that are going extinct from LA and MA cave populations.
Due to the way the events are coded, it won't replace the indie defenders, only the recruitable units & province defense who are there after you conquer the province.
Good job, you just killed the last of the Pale Ones so you could have the 65 gold/month from Quaint Caverns. You monster.

Possible typo:
Some events have the condition #req_poptype 104. According to the modding manual, poptype 104 is Bekrydes, but the comment says it's Wet Ones.

Some criticism:
I have to say that the cover is a bit misleading. The mod does not remove the Pale Ones and Zotz completely, but replaces some of them. It's mentioned in the description, but still.
Also, you can replace or modify the province's defenders with the "Monster Effects" commands from the event manual. Without this, the mod looks unfinished.

The idea of ​​a cave analogue of the above-ground common indies is a good one. However, it is a little strange that the province is guarded exclusively by dying Pale Ones, but after being captured, all 6,000 inhabitants somehow turn into humans. Maybe it makes sense to add human friends or some mages to the Pale Ones. As far as I know, the composition of the independent provincial guards can be changed through events.

The sentence in the LA Agartha description "The mummified remains of the now-extinct Pale Ones are worshipped and reanimated by necromancer-priests" does not necessarily mean that Pale Ones are extinct everywhere. It could mean that they are extinct only in Agartha. Also, LA Agartha may choose the Leader of the Closed Council as a pretender, which also casts doubt on the assumption of total extinction.

I don't know what Illwinter's intentions were in this matter. Maybe it is indeed an oversight. Or perhaps they just didn't come up with a good replacement for the independent LA Pale Ones, and left things as is. I agree that the independent Zotz and Pale Ones are annoyingly weak, and they need an enhancement or rework. But cutting them out is too crude an approach.

Zotzs should be fine in MA, they are just displaced from their ancestral homelands in in the now-flooded Xilbaba.
