Bare Knuckle III Project is a hack for the Japanese version of Streets of Rage 3 that makes numerous fixes and improvements aimed at giving the game a more complete look. The gameplay has been improved by fixing bugs and restoring cut content. Consider it a more improved version of the no longer supported by the developers Director's Cut DX hack

- The character selection screen now always has 9 characters available, including hidden characters, and Adam and Max from previous parts of the game are also present
