Most of the functionality is removed.

Click on any character in the crew information panel (C key) to switch control to that character
The mod only provides character switching functionality - all other features have been removed
Always keep your campaign files backed up

secure mode only allows host to switch

you probably need to have LUA enabled client side for you as well

when i join a server with this mod the host can swap characters but i cant, any ideas as to why?

@kotovskiy go look the mod files, he simply removed everything except the switching char function. It's buggy and broken, but it just works so...

I've noticed issues where i can sometimes control a character one of the players are controlling, and sometimes, my character can be bugged where it says its in use, so i cant control it, and it disappears, likely because its become binded to a imaginary player
