This is exactly the sort of thing PZ needs more of! A reason to go and explore that's personal to the character.

Goliath, that’s actually a great idea! I love the mix of randomness and story — a few possible spawn spots still tied to the idea of a family home. Definitely considering it for a future update. Thanks for the inspiration — and yeah, Wolf’s mod is a solid reference

maybe instead of potentially making it fully random have a small group of potential spawns to randomize from, and then give the player an annotated map marking their former home, not entirely dissimilar to wolf's extraction mod

Alien, yep, the photo is always in the same spot — that’s the whole point!
It’s part of the story: your guy’s trying to reach his old home and find that one photo left from the past. Gives the playthrough a bit of meaning (and suffering 😅).

That said, randomized spawn sounds like a cool idea for future updates. Maybe one day you’ll have to check every damn nightstand in Kentucky 👀 Thanks for the suggestion!
