With the roll-out of the new CV100 MK3 platform the ESDF high command and material administration decided that 1 of the 4 initial variants was to be a light tank, to keep cost down many design elements where borrowed from the previous design such as the turret as well as the front and side armor in order to keep cost down as much as possible, it is even rumored that the engineers straight up took the front and side armor from and older model of CV100 alpine light tank due to the similarities in appearance.

Note: The vehicle has an empty programmable block for those who wants to use skid steering as it does not use it by default.
