Infernal NPCs

Description
PLEASE INSTALL THE DEPENDENCIES

Ever thought to yourself that fighting NPCs was too fair and balanced? Ever wished zombies would sometimes start hurling energy balls while speeding around you like the flash? This mod is for you!

An adaptation of AtomicStryker's Infernal Mob[www.curseforge.com] to Garry's Mod.

Whenever you spawn an NPC, it has a chance to become an Infernal NPC, the chances for this can be configured with the sv_infernalnpcs_* convars.

There are three types of Infernal NPCs:

Rare
  • 2-4 effects
  • 2 times HP
  • Drops 1 suit battery
  • Orange glow

Utlra
  • 7 effects
  • 4-5 times HP
  • Drops 3 suit batteries
  • Cyan glow

Infernal
  • 10-11 effects
  • 7-8 times HP
  • Drops 5 suit batteries
  • Magenta glow

Effects

Effects are essentially abilities for an Infernal NPC. Below is a list of all possible effects and what they do.
  • Fire - Lights targets on fire on hit for an amount corresponding to the amount of damage done.
  • Gravity - Pulls NPCs or Players deemed hostile towards itself
  • Speedy - Whenever the NPC wants to go to a location, if there is nothing in the way, it will teleport there
  • Ninja - When the NPC takes damage, it will teleport to a random nearby location. (Requires Navmesh)
  • Cloak - When the NPC takes damage, there is a chance it will become invisible for a random amount of time
  • Regen - The NPC will regenerate 3 health every second
  • Choke - Every few seconds, if a target is in line of sight with the NPC, they will take drowning damage. Damaging the NPC resets the cooldown
  • Energy Balller - The NPC will toss energy balls at its target
  • Ammo Thief - Every second, the NPC will steal 1 ammo from it's targets reserves
  • Trapper - The NPC will spawn combine mines around itself every once and a while (Requires Navmesh)
  • Bulwark - The NPC has 50% damage resistance
  • Poison - The NPC will do Poison damage, bringing the target to 25% of it's max health. Damage done beyond this point is done as normal
  • Blast-off - The target is flung in the air when hit
  • Vampire - The NPC heals when it does damage to its target
  • Berserk - NPC does double damage, but does the original damage to itself
  • Sticky - When the NPC is attacked, the attacker has a chance to drop their weapon
  • Grenade Tosser - The NPC will toss grenades at it's target.

Effects that require the navmesh won't appear on maps that don't have one, so no need to worry about that!
