OWB - Old World Rewards

Description
Have you ever wondered why perhaps some of the powerful technologies of the old world weren't quite up to snuff? Or perhaps why genius of Elijah restricted himself to simply accepting a few sets of APA instead of the taking them apart to reverse engineer them?

Well friends- Wonder no more, with this I have made a number of changes that I believe make these treasures of Pre-war America and a few post-war items truly stand up to the test.

Also is this balanced? Eh- Idk, probably not given you still need to actually survive till you can hit most of these rewards. But I don't think it's any less balanced then most nations once you get the ball rolling.

Below are the exact changes, spoilered in case you want to discover them yourself.

Who Clutches at Old Crowns: No longer does Elijah suffer to give this high-quality pre-war gear to 5 random soldiers under his command, now he breaks it down and learns how to reverse engineer these powerful technologies. Or in practical terms, unlocks the Schematics for APA, Gauss Weaponry and Sophisticated Air Tech

Higgs Village: The original event mentions how they can now build pre-war homes, yet given the base Mojave BOS can only get up to civilized they actually cant. So now in addition to the research bonus the Mojave also unlocks Sophisticated Construction.

X-13: In Fallout: New Vegas while collecting the parts to the stealth suit there are various schematics around, which I believe Elijah could easily use to enhance his chapter. So- In addition to the research bonuses you also unlock Sophisticated Spec Ops.

Saturnite Research Facility: The original event talks about how it enhances durability and how no one will penetrate their armor.. but it gave an attack bonus, so I replaced it with an Defense bonus.

Y-17: The original idea the event gave was a bonus to org, which while I can admit does make sense from a certain point of view- I think using it to give a bonus toward Trickle Back makes sense, so- I swapped the idea out for a Tech in the rewards tech category that gives both bonuses and a bit more, however it does only apply if you are using the Chem support.. which given your playing the Mojave BOS you probably should be.

What Remains: Once again another bonus to org, which I frankly don't think the Mojave BOS needs given how many org bonuses you can get through the doctrines and policies, so instead it now has reinforce rate, which can be looked at as the Holograms temporarily holding the line as your reinforcements come back to support them, well that's at least how I imagine it.

Spears of a Shining memory: The original idea for the Holorifles gave division recovery rate which, I don't quite get personally, so I replaced it with an attack bonus.

House's Ultimate Treasure: The Platinum Chip idea now gives a bonus to Securitrons and Support Robots instead of Heavy and Support. But Sin, the Mojave BOS doesn't get securitrons, maybe.. maybe.. but I wonder what's in that vault beyond the Hoover Dam. Also after some consideration I decided to not give the Mojave BOS access to the MK2 OS, sorry Elijah fans- Only the Big H gets his Super Securitrons.

It's funny, but between this and Mojave Reclaimed RDX I've got nearly everything I want.

This one has nothing I dislike and quite a lot I like. That one has some things I really like and a few I really don't. If I could combine the two I'd be a happy man.

Late game's a bit rubbish either way, but that's mostly because Lost Hills is so bad.

Actually, I wonder if that's the og reason for the recovery rate bonus, even if it's not that straightforward.

Another idea for the holorifle that might be better - it's very energy efficient - highest damage per microfusion cell in the game, so a big reduction in energy use could work.
(I don't really play a ton of the energy weapon factions, so I don't really know if that would matter a ton...)

Sorry No- You're free to make a translation however if you wish.

Is there Russian language support?

@Mr Zoat - Hello again, I'm aware but I couldn't get it to function due to my limited skills. Also due to the way the OOB loads units I couldn't get the securitron units to spawn in despite multiple attempts.

Also I don't think I'll be changing the reward for the spy mission, I understand the original mod's vision of the less scientific minded members of the Mojave BOS trying to reign Elijah in.

Also with the bonus you get from the chip, I feel like the bonuses are fine as is. IMO The securitrons should be used for more of either a line filler or your main low MP suppression force in order to hold land. I don't think they need all of the research buffs they can get as House or Middlemark- as the Brotherhoods focus is more on PA and not Robotics.

Shouldn't be an issue balancewise as Robot Scorpions are better in almost every way and become available... I think it would usually be earlier, depending on how well you push the Legion back.

Regarding the operating system, you know Middlemark gets one of those bonuses right?

Not getting any Securitrons when you do the heist is a little harsh.

Regarding red cloud, why not switch things around and give your units better weather resistance, because they had to learn how to protect themselves from it? I've literally never used strategic bombers with any Brotherhood faction.

I would also quite like the final spy mission's reward to be changed. Something like choosing between an extra operative slot and improved recon.

Oh yeah and @Rocky I will consider adding a break through bonus as technically Saturnite does 'retain' heat.

@Minuda and everyone else interested. I am currently considering how to go about adding the Securitrons to the Mojave BOS- however I'm afraid the change of Red Cloud into Nuclear Bombs and ICBM production may be a bit of an ask. Same with the creation of an entirely new tech for the Holograms.

I'm afraid my modding capabilities are sort of limited to just editing various ideas/events/techs. However thank you for your interest in my mod- honestly the fact I saw my mod on the front page makes me a little giddy. Thank you all for your support.
