SNCF V2N Coach

Description
SNCF V2N Coach
This mod is based on the 3D model of the Renfe 450 made by Kaminari.
To meet the increasing demand for capacity on certain mainline routes, SNCF ordered the V2N coaches in the late 1980s. Based on the successful Z2N units, they reuse many running components, body structures, and interiors. These are push-pull passenger coaches.

Ordered in June 1989, deliveries ran from 1991 to 1994.
A total of 151 coaches were delivered, divided into 3 types (ABe, Be, and BDx), by an Alsthom/ANF consortium.
A prototype unit wore a livery inspired by the Corail colors, but it was not successful. A new livery was adopted, combining Corail and TGV Duplex aesthetics, with a blue stripe on the lower deck and cement gray on the upper deck.

General overhauls in the late 2010s led to a transition to the TER livery across the entire fleet, divided among the following three operating regions:
  • The southeast, on the Paris-Lyon <-> Laroche-Migennes/Dijon axis, first with BB9700s and then BB7200R.
  • The north, for Paris-Nord <-> Amiens/Saint-Quentin, with BB16100s and later BB15000R.
  • The west, for Paris-Saint-Lazare <-> Le Havre, with BB16100s and later BB15000R.
  • As well as winter peaks in Tarentaise on Lyon <-> Bourg-Saint-Maurice, using CC6500 and BB22200 units.
This transition, reflecting the new regional management of TER services, also enabled the refurbishment of interiors (also included in the mod), to align with modern comfort standards.

Starting in late 2018, the regional reform led to the creation of new entities, bringing about the appearance of the Hauts-de-France versions.
Since 2025, the operational scope of these coaches has drastically reduced, with the loss of Burgundy routes in 2022 and Normandy in 2025. Only the northern axis remains active.
Part of the fleet was transferred to the Lille network, coupled with modified BB22200RC locomotives equipped for push-pull MUX operation, to replace the aging VR2N stock.

This pack includes the following liveries:
  • Prototype, in gray variants, with green and yellow doors
  • Original, with sky blue and yellow doors
  • TER Bourgogne
  • TER Picardie
  • Neutral TER
  • Hauts-de-France TER

Thank you.
After watching the video, I finally understand that I need trains separately from this.
