PLAY THIS ON "SINGLE MISSION" ONLY



CURRENT VERSION: Beta 0.1
To-Do before 1.0 release:
-fix stuff based on comments
- fix the clipping of some guns, uniforms, etc (for the individual packs)


Invaders: Yugoslav Army (axis)
Defenders: Slovenia (allies)


Important notes:

-As you can see, THIS IS IN EARLY BETA AND IS HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL, released now so I can work on the next mission as you all test this and report anything, so please complain a TON in the comments. I am aiming for this to be memorable and replayable at the end of the day, so if anything is off in terms of gameplay, balance, whatever, I want to hear it so I can take a look and make this mission (and all future ones) as great as possible

-This mission is very hard. Decrease the number of JNA bots if you're playing as the JNA or if you find it too difficult.

Tips for winning/dying less:

- If you haven't tried the mission already, you will spawn in with a Skorpion pistol (Or a sniper rifle). However, that doesn't mean everyone has these...
- Each side has one unique class that the other does not. The Slovenians have a car spawn with AT guys to be used for a variety of tasks, and the JNA has radiomen for summoning 2S1 artillery fire. Use them wisely.

Possible Questions:

Q: You did it. You Call of Duty-fied Easy Red 2. I hate you and I hate this.
A: I totally understand, you don't have to do it then. However, I suggest you at least follow my workshop as this conquest mode will be extremely rare in future missions

(On the flipside, tell me if you like it. I will include it in slightly more missions than intended if I get good feedback on my implementation of it)

Q: How historically accurate is this?
A: The map itself is based off a mix of historical photos and the location as it is now in Google Earth. Tanks were also used in this battle but I'm not sure which ones so the Gvodzika is standing in for them (I know it's not a tank, but I want this to be infantry-focused). Other than that, it should be roughly accurate

Q: Is this balanced for singleplayer/multiplayer/co-op?
A: It's designed with all 3 in mind. This is specifically why the BRDM is not accessible to the player, as it would make things too easy on a mission like this.

Q: Do I need DLC for this?
A: Nope! Awesome, isn't it?

Q: Holyyyyyy ♥♥♥♥ why I die so much!?
A: This is war, not Care Bear cuddle time. Gotta use your wits to die less, soldier

(Jokes aside, do report any "impossible spawns", so to speak. I'll look at and fix them soon after your report.)

@BerenOneHand Hi, thanks for the feedback. For the issues:

I tried to resolve the pooling-up issue by removing some spawns so that less of them are bunching up, but it's a really hard issue to fix since the bot brains seem to be hardcoded to rarely move from the nearest point they capture. I'll try and use scripts from the previous mission I did to divide the squads per point that they run towards.

The objectives were initially more spread-out but I found it really annoying to get between them (even by car) while I was testing them, and I dont think spreading them out will fix the bot pooling issue. The M48 spawn will definitely be fixed, though

I'll look into all of these after I finish the next mission im working on now, as part of one big update where the Yugo M48 will be replaced with the M76 that was recently added to the weapon pack (Due to historical accuracy. The M48 was long out of service with the JNA by 1991.)

Love the mods & mission premises so far! You may need to recheck certain spawns and locations that are now affected by map updates. This conquest game mode script is interesting, I wish that the objectives were sized out more so that there was more possibility for engagements - Attacking AI usually will wipe the floor then pool up in a tiny little region. Certain spawns like the Yugo Zastava M48 guys will spawn directly into enemy gunfire, almost as if they had jumped through a window and you are given control right at that moment. Keep up the great work!:thestar:

@Tora! Tora! Tora! I just booted up the mission from the workshop version of the map and it loaded fine. Try resubscribing to the map itself.

For some reason I'm only getting the flat version of this map without buildings or trees or anything

@BrockKids1 Absolutely not, for two reasons:


1. There is no point when Battlefront 2 (both versions) will already be much better than any attempt done in this game, unless you really, really want the squad system in a star wars game for whatever reason.

2. I have decided firmly to only do the Yugoslav Wars and then stop making Easy Red 2 stuff once the roadmap in the collection is complete (not counting fixes that will be made after). I apologize for this, however, I'm truly honored that you asked since that means I must be doing something right with these missions.
