Issues & Notes:

- If you install the mod and you find that music refuses to play whilst in combat, try deleting your 'Config' file under this pathway: C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame. Next, run XCOM 2 a couple of times to regenerate the 'Config' folder and the music should play just fine.

- Music stutters during drops in FPS. There is nothing I can do to change that. Consider reducing your mod count to minimize this problem.

- For whatever reason MMS does not fully support 'mission complete' or 'after-action' music, and will therefore default to the base game soundtrack 9 times out of 10. In some cases it is possible for custom after-action music to play, however such instances are rare and sporadic.

- MMS music packs & custom music mods in general have a habit of playing over cutscenes. This one is no different unfortunately.

- MMS is not fully compatible with LWOTC; songs from this pack may fail to play.

- I had to get a little creative with some of these tracks in order to make them loop correctly/cleanly, so some music may sound different to how it does in the original CoD: BO2 OST.

Well, it's finally here: June 19th, 2025 - Judgement Day. I remember playing Black Ops II's campaign for the first time and thinking 2025 was so far away, and yet here we are. It's kind of amazing how scarily similar the societal circumstances surrounding the events of the game are to those of the current day. Drone warfare is the new frontier on the battlefield, China holds a trade monopoly on rare earth elements, political discontent is at an all time high, riots are breaking out in countries all across the globe for a myriad of different reasons... and the threat of another World War is becoming ever more present with each passing day. Man, I'd like to get my hands on the crystal ball Treyarch's writers were consulting during storyboard sessions back in 2012. Anyways, I digress. I wanted to mark this special, long-awaited day with a fitting tribute - a full BO2 OST port for XCOM 2. BO2 was the first real "adult" game that I played growing up (apart from BO1), so it holds a special place in my heart. Plus, its composer Jack Wall was also the composer of one of my favorite childhood games, 'Ultimate Ride', so I had to take a crack at porting this OST to X2.

Despite only taking less than a week to throw together, I’m honestly impressed with the results. The calmer ‘explore’ sections of missions become much more tense with this soundtrack, and Jack Wall’s fast-paced techno-symphonic energy makes combat engagements feel incredibly high-stakes — even more-so when paired with the ”Idle Suppression” mod. I love how this turned out, and I think you will too, should you decide to give it a chance.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my mod. Live well, and may God bless you.

R.I.P. Kamar de los Reyes (Raul Menendez), Julian Sands (Defalco), and Tony Todd (Admiral Briggs)
Thank you for the wonderful memories.

There is very little setup involved. You subscribe to the music pack and MMS, enable the mods in the AML launcher, and then they should work fine.

I would suggest asking around the XCOM 2 Modding Discord for help with troubleshooting this problem, because as much as I wish I could help diagnose the issue you’re experiencing I am unfortunately out of solutions.

Then I’m not really sure what’s going on there. You may be playing with another mod that’s conflicting with it.

I assume you’ve subscribed to the Music Modding System, which is required for the mod to work. Have you tried the fix listed in the “Issues and Notes” section above?
