RIP AND TEAR... between colony management tasks! Experience the legendary 1993 DOOM running natively inside RimWorld. Thanks to the incredible managed-doom[github.com] C# port by sinshu, your colonists can now battle demons from Hell during their downtime!

🎮 What is RimDoom?

RimDoom brings the complete, authentic DOOM experience to your RimWorld colonies. Using a full C# port of the original id Software engine, this isn't just a mini-game - it's the real deal running inside RimWorld's framework. Watch your colonists develop their shooting skills while blasting through UAC facilities and fighting the forces of Hell!

🎯 Controls & Gameplay

Movement Controls:
  • WASD or Arrow Keys - Move forward/back, turn left/right
  • Q - Strafe left
  • E - Strafe right
  • Left Shift - Run (double movement speed)
  • Left Alt + Left/Right - Alternative strafing

Combat Controls:
  • Left Ctrl or Left Mouse - Fire weapon
  • Space - Use/Activate (doors, switches, etc.)

    Currently manual weapon choosing is still bugging and can't switch manually
  • 1-9 - Select weapons (Fist, Pistol, Shotgun, Chaingun, Rocket, Plasma, BFG)

System Controls:
  • F - Enter/Confirm in menus
  • F1 - Help screen
  • F2 - Save game
  • F3 - Load game
  • F6 - Quick save
  • F9 - Quick load
  • F10 - Quit game
  • ESC - Menu/Back

🛠️ Installation Requirements

IMPORTANT: This mod requires original DOOM.WAD files to function!

Required Dependencies:

WAD File Setup:
  1. Purchase DOOM from Steam or GOG[www.gog.com]
  2. Locate your DOOM.WAD file:
    • Steam: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Ultimate Doom\base\
    • GOG: GOG Games\The Ultimate DOOM\
  3. Copy DOOM.WAD to: Mods\RimDoom\Data\
  4. Alternative names supported: doom.wad, DOOM1.WAD, doom1.wad, freedoom1.wad

FreeDoom Alternative: You can also use FreeDoom[freedoom.github.io] WAD files for a free, open-source alternative!
