Stelara [PM/NPC]

Stelara is a character created by my dreams.


I was playing Half-Life 3 (how my dream depicted it) and there was this level in the sewer part of some rebel base (The base had the style of the HL2 Beta Kraken Base) where it looked like it was set up for Gordon Freeman to fight an ichthyosaur. At this point I was separated from Eli Vance and I was on my own and as I enter the boss room, I found the ichthyosaur dead and then this new character, Stelara was introduced to me as I was trying to find out how to exit the boss room. She helps open the door to the next level and eventually to fight the next boss which was a gargantua and a Combine helicopter right after it which was when the chapter ends with Stelara and I meeting up with Eli.

When Eli notices Stelara, he makes a remark of seeing Gordon making a new friend. And then makes a joke about Gordon deciding on choosing Alyx or Stelara once they have rescued Alyx from the events of Half-life: Alyx. I couldn't remember what happened, but eventually I beat the game to the point where Eli, Stelara and I severed the Combine forces from Earth similarly to the events of Epistle 3 and rescued Alyx.

The screen fades to a text that says "Five Years Later..." And then the screen transitions into Gordon Freeman doing some lab work in a new Black Mesa, except something felt off. When I got to Gordon's office, I saw a picture of Stelara, Gordon and a baby. It didn't feel right, because I thought that Gordon would be going with Alyx and not the newly introduced character. Sure she was cool and all, but as someone who played the previous Half-life games. I was more used to seeing Gordon with Alyx.

Suddenly Barney comes in and asks Gordon how he was feeling and gives him the beer that he owed, as the player you had to express on whether you're feeling good or not by showing Barney some signs. I let out a feeling of discontent as I pressed left click to take a sip of the beer. I somehow convinced Barney that I wasn't content with Stelara, because I wanted Gordon to be with Alyx. However during my gameplay (which I couldn't remember), my choices made it so that I was destined to be with Stelara instead of Alyx. The game then forces me to go to Gordon's laptop and when I interacted with it, he files the divorce papers and gets ready to leave Stelara and the baby behind. This made me feel guilty, but I still wanted to see what ending I got so I continued to play the game. I couldn't remember the events following after, but for sure I got the bad ending where I leave Stelara and the baby behind and never got the chance to hook up with Alyx.

When I let one of my cousins play, she somehow got the good ending where Gordon accepts Stelara and the baby and during the chapter where Gordon was in the new Black Mesa. He wasn't feeling uneasy, instead he was happy with the choices he made. Also my cousin unlocked the Gordon Ramsay skin for Gordon's ID photo and the alternate form of Stelara skin for doing some movie references that I didn't get during my play through. There was also the choice where you do get Alyx instead of Stelara, but we just discovered that later on in someone's video.

The alternate form of Stelara (The one with a red dress) was actually shown in one of the dreams I had a long time ago where she was a nurse who was taking care of wounded veterans and at the same time was a friend of a magical girl who fights the forces of evil with her AK-47.
