Description
OPERATION RED HORIZON



A fractured signal crackles out from Phobos, Mars’ largest moon and home to one of the Office of Naval Intelligence’s most classified installations. Moments later, all communications cease. Emergency beacons activate, relaying a chilling final transmission:

"Hostile Contact, Base Overrun, Immediate Assistance Required".

Intelligence intercepts have confirmed the worst; an Insurrectionist strike force, estimated at platoon strength, has executed a surgical assault using a stealth-capable, slipspace-equipped transport. The defenders, caught off-guard and outgunned, are now presumed neutralized or captured. Among the missing: several high-value ONI personnel whose knowledge and presence on Phobos were deemed critical to UNSC strategic interests.

In response, a rapid reaction strike group has been assembled in geosynchronous orbit with the Olympus Mons Defense Array: two Stalwart-class light frigates (the Bastard of Fortitude and Unto the Breach) alongside the Drake-class corvette (Implication). Aboard them, a battle-ready coalition of elite units prepare for immediate deployment. The 7th Shock Trooper Battalion’s “Wardog” Company will lead the charge, dropping feet-first from orbit in HEV pods to secure a landing zone. Once secure, “Hades” Company from the 9th Marine Expeditionary Force will insert via Pelican dropships to assault the main compound while fleet assets scan for the unidentified enemy vessel that vanished after the attack.

This is not a standard recovery mission. The situation on Phobos is unstable, the terrain alien and unforgiving. The enemy is dug in, the objective unclear, and the clock is ticking. What the insurrectionists hoped to gain from this blacksite remains unknown, but the stakes are high enough that failure is not an option.

Fight through the cold void, reclaim the facility, and uncover what the Insurrectionists were after in this high-stakes orbital assault.

This mission, originally made for Task Force Cerberus[discord.gg] several months ago, is one I've decided to convert into a normal SP/COOP scenario for everyone to enjoy. For those playing in single-player, you'll be given an AI squad to assist you.

The scenario is fully scripted and voiced, using recorded voice lines, cut dialogue from popular media, and Eleven Labs. I've been working on the Part 2 for this for a while now, off and on. It'll come out eventually.

Feel free to take apart whatever you'd like scripting/composition wise, credit is always appreciated. Also, please let me know if there's anything that needs to be fixed, suggestions, etc. Thanks.

@Reeks Ace doesn't use the user action menu like vanilla inventories, you have to use your ace interact keybind to pull up the object's menu.

Can't seem to find the Arsenal in the breifing area, can only find ammo and smoke nades. I have ace installed and activated, so I dont know what the issue is.

@ai0thunderbolty You need to ace interact with either the lockers, the weapon racks, etc. to open up the arsenal.

@Orange The "arsenals" only have mags and smoke grenades for me.

@ai0thunderbolty Yes, all the mods listed as dependencies are required. If you're suffocating it's because you don't have a helmet equipped, you should use one of the available arsenals in the briefing area prior to starting the sequence.
