👍 Did you know likes keep things on the front page?
❗ I've updated the lore of every other NS vehicle to date and sorted them into generational collections, threading them into a story. Have a look, if you want.

It was often joked that NS built missiles, not aircraft, but the Huginn was in fact just a cruise missile with a sensor and comms payload - so disposable it didn't even come with a chute for recovery. Given its secondary job was to sneak right under Auraxian noses to direct long-range strikes, recovery was never really a question.

Its primary job was to relay communications once orbital assets were lost - an inevitability towards the end of campaigns as the situation deteriorated. Able to stay in the sky for days at a time, specifically optimised for evading Auraxian detection, and light enough to be deployed by basically any vehicle, their use could extend resistance for several weeks.

Built for lore reasons, not for any functional use. It would be more usable if we had tech for smart autopilot that could be used under combat conditions.

Mango's AIM-120 is the largest missile a 'modern' NS planetside vehicle (like the Balmung) is supposed to carry, so this vehicle's dimensions were defined based on that. In fact, its fuselage is that of an AIM-120.

Searchers are reconnaissance and relay craft.
They are used to gather data, see what ships in orbit cannot, and relay instructions and communications between assets both orbital and planetside. They're focused on being lightweight and cheap, as they are often the first targets.

I truly love it when people add lore to various machines.
