AI Memento Selection

Description
Allows setting the AI players Mementos in the Advanced Setup screen. In addition, randomly assigns mementos for the AI based on a number of preset leader and civ combos. These are updated on Age Transition. You can turn off the feature off in the map Advanced Settings.

This does not affect multiplayer games as it only alters the single player setup screen.

Note: A current issue with the memento editor means the popup starts unselected. But you can just click the slot while in the memento editor.

Addtional credit to @Renouf for a ton of work making all the combos this mod uses.

Database tables are set up on the frontend so so modders can make auxiliary mods that alter or add additional combos, or support new leaders/civs.

when i change a leader/civ to random it keeps the same mementos. is it possible to set the mementos to random? or to set the mementos to match the leader/civ that gets rolled. i'd like to save my game config without having to lock in the same enemies.

Found a reproducible bug where if I delete a player (say, setting a small map to have 5 players instead of 6) and then exit the Advanced Options screen, if i click 'Advanced Options' again the game will softlock. Might just be an interaction with another mod but I had this happen a few times using the civfanatics version too and I was never sure what was causing it until now

@Rob: It would be possible to do that, but it would be awkward to design the screen to see the other AI. But possible yeah, I'll think about it. And yes, actually it would be possible to set it so the AI keeps their mementos for all ages I believe.

@Sloth: This is a really awesome mod, thank you for making it! Also question, is it possible for you to add a feature where we can actually pick which mementos the AI will be using doing an Age Transition, instead of it automatically being picked for the next age?

If that is not feasible, is it instead possible to add an option to lock in the mementos we pick for AI in the Advanced Setup screen, so that the AI will use those memento(s) every age, instead of being assigned new random ones.

@Sloth Ah, good point. It feels fitting for them to use their unique mementos earned at leader levels 5 and 9 by default. Not that I am suggesting it for your mod, but it does come to mind. I'll have to try your mod one day. Thanks!

I use the 12 player mod and unfortunately, for the 11th and 12th player no mementos are chosen automatically

@GenkiJason They do not. You can check any player's mementos (even without this mod) by going to diplomacy with them and going to the 4th screen and scrolling to the bottom, like in that second image.

Do AI leaders normally get mementos without this mod? I was never certain.
