Right click while having the drill selected, back up into the hole being dug, wait until the drill digs the hole for the second time, then rest the vehicle inside the hole to keep it burrowed and protected with only the top part being exposed c=

The autocannon turret can be reloaded from the conveyor port on the drill behind the seat, you gotta crouch by the side windows to access it x3
