Features
This mod adds a Tier 4 Society technology called "Universal Assimilation", which unlocks the aptly-named "Universal Assimilation" citizenship type. Any species set to Universal Assimilation will slowly convert into the primary species of the empire they are in.

Normally Universal Assimilation only works on pops of the same level of individualism (individualist to individualist or gestalt to gestalt). This restriction does not apply to empires that complete the "Mega-Engineering", "Ascension Theory", and "Positronic Implants" technologies or empires that complete the Modularity or Genetic ascensions :)

Compatibility
This mod doesn't override any vanilla files and should be compatible with all other mods :D

@anandal Ummmmmmmmm it should change to whatever pop variant of the main species is the main variant. I'm not entirely sure about your question, might be easiest to test it in the circumstance your describing :E

helps clean up lag because of less varieties of pops so the system can use more generalized operations.

How does this mod compare to "Total Assimilation"?
Does the POP that gets Universal Assimilation change to the top-tier sample of the main race?
Or does it change to the sample that is set as the default for the main race?
