Ed

Ed is a slower mix-up type character that likes to keep his opponent’s guessing on his next move. Throw out chickens with his down-special and follow-up on hits with his Sumo Slam side-special. His side-special on the ground has super amor to help tank hits and follow up on opponents rolling away from you. If the first part hits, then the belly slam will follow. Try to finish opponents off by landing the sweet spot final hit of his up-special.

Special Moves:


Ed pulls out a “nice toy” that shoots fire a short distance away. Hold the button to keep the move active. When the button is released, the toy lets out a final burst of fire that pushes opponents away.


Ed slams his head to the ground. Has super armor. If the headbutt lands a hit then Ed will follow-up with a mighty belly slam! Leaves him wide open after landing on the ground. The air version of the move goes right into a weaker version of the belly slam. Use this to help with recovery.


Ed spins and shoots straight up into the air. Hits multiple times and has sweet spot at the end of the move. Very good for vertical recovery. However, Ed can’t move as much while rising and it would be best to do this move below the stage.


Ed opens his jacket and summons a chicken projectile that runs across the stage. Hits multiple times and will disappear after about 6 seconds. The jacket opening animation also has a hitbox allowing the chicken to combo into the attack. Only one chicken can be out at a time, so make them count.
